CILICIA. Laertes. Trajan, 98-117. Assarion (Orichalcum, 18 mm, 6.05 g, 12 h). ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤωΡ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟС Laureate head of Trajan to right. Rev. ΛΑЄΡΤΙΤωΝ Demeter seated left, holding grain ears and poppy in her right hand and torch in her left. RPC III 2748. SNG Levante 371. SNG Paris 589-590. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
From the collection of Dr. P. Vogl, Leu Web Auction 9, 7 September 2019, 794 and previously privately purchased from Aufhäuser in the 1980s or 1990s (with collector's ticket).
