PHRYGIA. Laodicea ad Lycum. Nero, 54-68. Assarion (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.90 g, 12 h), Cornelius Aeneas, magistrate. ΝΕΡΩΝ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΣ Laureate head of Nero to right. Rev. (ΚΟΡ) / ΑΙΝΕΙΑΣ / ΛΑΟΔΙΚΕΩΝ Zeus Laodikeos standing front, head to left, holding eagle in his right hand and staff in his left. BMC 173. RPC I 2926. SNG Copenhagen 563-5. Sharply struck and with a beautiful portrait. Extremely fine.
