KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 16.15 g, 1 h), Pella, 289-288. Diademed and horned head of Demetrios I to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΔHMHTPIOY Poseidon, nude, standing left, his right foot set on a rock, holding trident in his left hand and resting his right on his right thigh; to outer left and right, monograms. HGC 3.1, 1014a. Newell 90. Harshly cleaned and with traces of corrosion, otherwise, about very fine.
