KINGS OF MACEDON. Demetrios I Poliorketes, 306-283 BC. AE (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.47 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Caria (?), circa 290-283. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. BA Prow to right; below, monogram of AP; to right, double axe. Newell 163. SNG Alpha Bank 956. SNG München 1056. Well struck, and with an attractive multicolored patina. Minor porosity and a flan crack, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
