LUCANIA. Metapontion. Punic occupation, circa 215-207 BC. Half Shekel (Silver, 17 mm, 3.73 g, 3 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right. HN Italy 1632. Robinson, Second, p. 50, 1 and pl. VI, 4. SNG ANS 549. SNG Lloyd 403. Lustrous and fresh. The obverse struck slighly off center, otherwise, virtually as struck.
