Byzantine-style bust facing, wearing diadem with pendilia, holding sceptre and globus cruciger holding scepter and globus cruciger. Rev. Within a dotted circle, ‘[Fakhr al-Dīn Bahr]/āmshāh [ibn Dāwūd] / ibn Isḥāq [nāṣir] / amīr al-muʾ[minīn] / …’ (‘Fakhr al-Din Bahramshah, son of Daʾud, son of Ishaq, helper to the Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic). Album 1892.1. Very rare. Some deposits and scratches and the reverse struck off center, otherwise, very fine.
