Description

Constantine II, as Caesar, 316-337. Follis (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.82 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 320. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantine II to right. Rev. SAECVLI [F]-ELICITAS / P - R / R S Wreath with AVG set on garlanded cippus. RIC 163 var. (unlisted officina). Extremely rare. Somewhat rough and with minor spots of corrosion, otherwise, very fine.

This extremely rare piece is one of four known examples from officina S.
