L. Valerius Acisculus, 45 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.86 g, 5 h), Rome. ACISCVLVS Diademed head of Apollo Soranus to right; above, star; behind, acisculus. Rev. L•VALERIVS Europa, holding veil swirling above her with both hands, seated on bull walking right. Babelon (Valeria) 17. Crawford 474/1a. RBW 1656. Sydenham 998. A very attractive coin, well struck and of lovely style. Nearly extremely fine.
