Description

LOCAL ISSUES, Chaganiyan. Late 6th-7th centuries. Drachm (Silver, 27 mm, 2.68 g, 2 h), Northern Tokharistan. Crowned and draped Sasanian-style bust to right resembling Khosrau I; in outer margin, three countermarks depicting human heads and one countermark with legend in Baktrian. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons flanked by two attendants. Zeno-199508 ( this coin ). Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor scratches, otherwise, about extremely fine.
