LOCAL ISSUES, Chach. Ton, circa 750-800. AE (Bronze, 20 mm, 2.47 g). The joined facing heads of the ruler and queen. Rev. The tamgha of an unknown principality; legend around, ‘βγy twwn xʾγʾn’, i.e. ‘βaγ-i Ton xāγān’ (‘Lord Ton Kaghan’ in Sogdian). Shagalov & Kuznetsov 177. Very rare. Some weakness and deposits, otherwise, very fine.
