Draped bust of Kavadh I to right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos set on crescent, ribbons and crescents on shoulders; star behind crown; pellets above right ribbon. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to left, ‘kwʾt’, i.e. ‘Kawād’ (‘Kavadh’ in Pahlavi); to right, BYŠ (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi). Göbl type I/1. SNS III/2, type Ia/1a. Very rare. Edges partially broken away and with some earthen deposits, otherwise, very fine.
