Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 23 mm, 3.64 g, 6 h), Lugdunum, 287-289. IMP C MAXIMIANVS AVG Radiate and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right. Rev. VIRTVTI AVGG Hercules standing right, strangling the Nemean lion; behind his right leg, transverse club. Bastien 221. Cohen -. RIC 459. Minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the Agricola Collection, privately acquired from W. Henning in August 1982 (with collector's ticket).
