PONTOS. Amisos. Time of Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 85-65 BC. AE (Orichalcum, 17 mm, 5.05 g, 12 h). Panther standing to right, head facing, holding stag head in forepaws. Rev. ΑΜΙΣΟΥ Panther skin and thyrsos on cista mystica. HGC 7, 252. SNG BM Black Sea 1210. Rare and unusually well preserved. Minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
