CELTIC, Lower Danube. Imitations of Thasos. Late 2nd-1st century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35 mm, 16.35 g, 2 h). Celticized head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy-wreath. Rev. Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club with his right hand and lion skin draped over his left arm. Dembski -. Lanz 976. OTA Class V/A. Extremely fine.
