Description

RUSSIA, Grand Principality of Muscovy. Vasili II Vasiliyevich Tyomniy (the Blind), 1425-1462. Denga (Bronze, 15 mm, 0.41 g), 2nd reign, Moscow, 1434-1446. Rider on horseback (St. George?) to left spearing serpent or dragon. Rev. Imitative Arabic legend in four lines. Spassky, pl. 56, 24 (horseman to right). Rare and nicely toned. Light marks, otherwise, about very fine.
