BRAZIL, Colonial. Joao VI, as prince regent, 1799-1816. 960 Reis 1814 (Silver, 40 mm, 26.80 g, 12 h), Bahia. JOHANNES D G PORT P REGENS ET BRAS D Crowned arms dividing date, value at left. Rev. SUBQ SIGN NATA STAB Globe over cross, sash with mintmark B across. KM 307.1. Nicely toned. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, extremely fine.
This coin was overstruck on a Spanish Colonial Pillar Dollar.
