ISLAMIC, Umayyad Caliphate. temp. 'Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, AH 65-86 / AD 685-705. Pashiz (Bronze, 13 mm, 0.72 g, 12 h), without mint and date. Draped bust facing, possibly wearing a flame nimbus around the head; to left and right, traces of legend. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants. Cf. Gyselen 102 (for a similar type with a differing crown from Ardashir-Khurra). Apparently unpublished. Some deposits, otherwise, fine.
