Description

Philip I, 244-249. Antoninianus (Silver, 23 mm, 4.40 g, 6 h), Rome, 246-247. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. AEQVITAS AVGG Aequitas standing front, head to left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left. Cohen 12. RIC 57. Nicely toned. Minor die wear on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

From the collection of Dr. D. Löer, formed since the 1970s, privately acquired from Frank S. Robinson (with original dealer's ticket).
