Description

★ Well struck in high relief ★

SICILY. Entella (?). Punic issues, circa 320/15-300 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.16 g, 12 h). Head of Tanit-Persephone to left, wearing wreath of grain leaves, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace; around, four dolphins. Rev. 𐤌 ('m' in Punic) Head of a horse to left; behind, palm tree. HGC 2, 289. Jenkins, Punic, 262 (O81/R220). An attractive example struck in high relief. Minor weakness on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
