L. Censorinus, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.88 g, 6 h), Rome. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. L•CENSOR Marsyas, bald-headed, standing to left, raising his right arm and holding wine-skin over his left shoulder; behind him, column surmounted by small statue of Minerva. Babelon (Marcia) 24. Crawford 363/1d. RBW 1372. Sydenham 737. Well centered and beautifully toned. Minor corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
