★ Struck in high relief and with a splendid portrait ★

KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.08 g, 1 h), Lampsakos, circa 297/6-282/1 BC. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; to outer left, herm to left; in inner left field, monogram. Müller 89. Thompson 55. A beautiful example struck in high relief and with a splendid portrait. Minor marks and with an edge bump , otherwise, good very fine.
