ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Wathiq, AH 227-232 / AD 842-847. Dinar (Gold, 15 mm, 2.09 g, 1 h), citing the Abbasid caliph al-Wathiq billah, San'a', AH 229 = AD 843/4. Bernardi 15El. Extremely rare, Bernardi knew just two examples. Heavily clipped, otherwise, very fine.
