AKARNANIA. Anaktorion. Circa 320-280 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 8.54 g, 12 h). Pegasos flying right; below, monogram of AN. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet; behind neckguard, tripod on base inscribed 'ANA' within wreath. BCD Akarnania 116. Calciati 33/1. An attractive piece with a beautiful reverse. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
