BRITISH, Orange. William III, 1694-1702. Sixpence 1697 (Silver, 20 mm, 3.08 g, 6 h). GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA Draped laureate bust of William III to right. Rev. MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX 1697 Crowned cruciform shields. SCBC 3531. Attractively toned. Extremely fine.
From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket), privately acquired at the Basel coin fair on 30 January 1988.
