KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.18 g), Kolophon, circa 322-317. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; below throne, ivy leaf. CNG 106 (2017), 192 ( same dies ). Price -, cf. 1784 (with spear and legend). Very rare as an anepigraphic issue. Minor scratches and some deposits. Very fine.
