★ Struck in high relief and with a splendid portrait ★

KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.88 g, 12 h), Pergamon, circa 287/286-282. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with lion's head; behind, transverse spear; in outer left field, herm to left; in inner left field, facing cult statue; in exergue, monogram of YE. CNG 81 (2009), 249. Müller 294 var. (differing monogram in exergue). Thompson 223 (differing monogram in exergue). Struck in high relief and with a splendid portrait. Minor surface marks , otherwise, extremely fine.
