CELTIC, Central Europe. Vindelici. 1st century BC. 1/4 Quinar (Silver, 10 mm, 0.37 g, 11 h), 'Manching II' type. Male head to left with spiky hair. Rev. Horse galloping to left; above, quincunx; below, ornament ('Winkelspitz'). Dembski 470. Flesche 389. Kellner, Manching, 688. A beautifully toned and unusually sharp and clear example. Nearly extremely fine.
