★ A beautifully patinated sestertius of Lucius Verus ★

Lucius Verus, 161-169. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 29 mm, 22.61 g, 5 h), Rome, 166. L VERVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX Laureate bust of Lucius Verus to right. Rev. TR POT V[I IMP IIII] COS II / S - C Victory standing front, head to right, holding palm frond in her right hand and resting her left on shield inscribed VIC / PAR and set on palm tree. BMC 1308. Cohen 206. RIC 1456. An attractive example with a beautiful brown patina and an excellent portrait. The reverse a bit weak, otherwise, good very fine.
