Theodoros, metropolitan bishop of Pompeiopolis, mid 11th century. Seal (Lead, 20 mm, 6.38 g, 12 h). O / A/ΓI/O, - Θ/ЄO/ΔⲰ/P, Nimbate bust of Saint Theodore facing, holding spear over his right shoulder and resting shield on his left arm. Rev. +ΘЄO/ΔⲰP, O MH/TPOΠOΛI/T, ΠOMΠH/૪ΠOΛЄ in five lines. Unpublished in the standard references. A well preserved seal of an important prelate. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
