Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.52 g, 7 h), uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia or Tarraco?), 18-17 BC. S•P•Q•R•IMP•CAESARI•[AVG•COS•XI•]TRI•POT•VI• Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. CIVIB•ET•SIGN•MILIT•A•PART•RECVPER• Triumphal Arch of Augustus: central arch, surmounted by facing quadriga with Augustus as driver, between two side arches, on each of which is a standing figure; on the left, Parthian standing right, holding signum in his raised right hand; on the right, Parthian standing left, holding aquila in his raised right hand and bow in his left.
