Description

CENTRAL GAUL. Lingones. Circa 1st century BC. Quinarius (Subaeratus, 12 mm, 1.54 g, 5 h), a contemporary imitation of the 'Kaletedou' type. Celticized head of Roma to left. Rev. KAΛ - ΘЄ - [Y] Horse springing left. Cf. Castelin 672 ff. and DT 3199 (for prototype). Breaks in plating and with minor porosity, otherwise, very fine.
