Description

CENTRAL GAUL. Aedui. Circa 80-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 17 mm, 1.79 g, 2 h), 'à la tête casquée' type. Helmeted head of Roma to left; to right, [X]. Rev. Celticized horse galloping left; above, wheel, below, pellet-in-annulet. DT -, cf. 3188 (for obverse) and 3189 (for reverse). Nicely toned. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
