★ An unusually attractive quarter stater from the Nervii ★
NORTHEAST GAUL. Nervii. 2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 13 mm, 1.94 g), 'à la lyre' type. Numerous diagonal lines at various angles. Rev. Devolved charioteer driving biga to left; below horse, lyre. DT 95. LT 8697. An unusually attractive example. Some scratches and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
