NORTHEAST GAUL. Ambiani. Late 2nd to mid 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 6.77 g, 9 h), 'statère biface au flan court' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Celticized horse galloping to right, horseman transformed into fibula-like figure; below, crescent above pellet. DT 159. LT 8603. Light marks, otherwise, good fine.
