MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 424-350 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.86 g, 3 h). Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue. Rev. N-E-O-Π Laureate head of the nymph of Neapolis to right, her hair coiled around her head and with a bun at the back, wearing plain necklace with a pendant. AMNG III, 2, 11. HGC 3, 586. SNG ANS 429 ( same dies ). A splendid coin with beautiful old collection toning. Light marks on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
