KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 16.18 g, 1 h), Kabyle, circa 225-215. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to inner left, Artemis Phosphoros standing facing with two torches. Price 882. Struck from worn dies and with some cleaning marks , otherwise, very fine.
