★ An interesting tetradrachm of Alexander III with a charming reverse symbol ★

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.18 g, 9 h), Pella, struck by Antipater or Polyperchon, under Philip III, circa 322-320. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, bee right on rose. Price 206. An interesting issue with a charming reverse symbol. The reverse slightly double struck as usual , otherwise, virtually as struck.
