★ Another tetradrachm from Ainos with a facing head of Hermes ★

THRACE. Ainos. Circa 398/7-396/5 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 13.49 g, 12 h). Head of Hermes facing slightly to left, wearing petasos. Rev. AINION Goat standing right; to right, a vine with two grape-clusters; all within incuse square. AMNG II, 326. May, Ainos, 348. Darkly toned and struck in high relief. The obverse with some corrosion and the reverse with some cleaning scratches , otherwise, very fine.
