SICILY. Katane. Circa 440-420 BC. Litra (Silver, 11 mm, 0.86 g, 11 h). Balding head of Silenos to left, with an animal ear and a long beard. Rev. ΚΑΤΑΝΑΙΩΝ Winged thunderbolt; two shields flanking. Boehringer, Kataneische, Series 3, Li5. HGC 2, 589. SNG ANS 1264. Beautifully toned and of fine styöe. Good very fine.
