★ A very well centered drachm from Himera ★
SICILY. Himera. Circa 500-483/2 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 5.84 g, 12 h). LV Rooster standing left. Rev. Hen standing right; all within linear square within incuse square. HGC 2, 423. Kraay Group VII, 247 (O133/R125). SNG Lewis 309 ( same dies ). Lightly toned and very well centered. Good very fine.
Ex Leu 7, 24 October 2020, 1119 and previously from a European collection, formed before 2005.
