NORTHWEST GAUL. Baiocassi. 2nd-1st century BC. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 6.61 g, 3 h), 'au sanglier' and 'au profil géométrique' type. Celticized male head to right, surmounted by a boar. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving a cart drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and a long branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, boar to right. DT 2264. LT 6978. Light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
