Basil I the Macedonian, 867-886. Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.36 g, 5 h), Constantinopolis, circa 868. +IhS XPS RЄX RЄςNANTIЧM✱ Christ, nimbate, seated facing on throne, wearing tunic and pallium, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. + bASILIOS ЄC ΘЄЧ bASILЄVS•b✱ Basil standing facing, wearing crown surmounted by cross, divitision and loros, holding globus cruciger in his right hand and akakia in his left. DOC 1. Füeg 1.
