ARABIA, Eastern. Oman Peninsula. Mleiha (?). Coins without patronym, mid 2nd to 1st century BCE. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 15.79 g, 12 h), imitating Alexander 'the Great' (336-323 BCE). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. 𐡀𐡁𐡂𐡀𐡋 ('by’l' in Aramaic) Male figure seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and forepart of a horse in his right; to left, palm stem; to left and right, anchor-like symbols (of Mleiha?). CCK 127. Extremely rare in good silver. Somewhat porous, otherwise, very fine.
