★ Beautifully toned and struck in high relief ★

C. Piso L.f. Frugi, 67 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 4.07 g, 6 h), Rome. Laureate head of Apollo to right; to left, monogram (?). Rev. C•PISO•L•F•FRV[G] Naked horseman galloping right, holding reins in his right hand and palm frond over his left shoulder; above, mark of value. Babelon (Calpurnia) 24. Crawford 408/1a. Hersh, Piso, 54 (O18/R1017). RBW 1468 var. (differing control mark on reverse). Sydenham 850f. Beautifully toned and struck in high relief. The obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
