LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 325-275 BC. Diobol (Silver, 13 mm, 1.33 g, 6 h). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; to right above leaf, plow. HN Italy 1594. Johnston-Noe F 2.4. Bright and attractive. A few very light scratches on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
