LOWER DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 22 mm, 13.49 g, 2 h), 'Lysimachoskopf' type. Celticized bearded head to left, with ram's horn in his hair. Rev. Celticized horseman to right, wearing cloak billowing out behind him and raising his left arm; to right, imitative letters. Dembski 1205. Flesche -. Lanz -. OTA 285/1. Very rare. A beautifully toned example of this lovely issue. Very fine.
