MIDDLE DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Bronze, 23 mm, 9.26 g, 12 h), 'Kapostal' type. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to left, wearing crested helmet; to left, torc; below, figure-of-eight ornament. Dembski 1425. Lanz 776-8. OTA 484/7. A beautifully toned and well struck example. About extremely fine.
