CILICIA. Tarsos. Tarkumuwa (Datames), satrap of Cilicia and Cappadocia, 384-361/0 BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.85 g, 12 h). Draped female bust to right, wearing earring and necklace. Rev. 𐡅𐡌𐡃𐡓𐡕 ('trkmw' in Aramaic) Bearded head of Ares (?) to right, wearing crested Attic helmet. Casabonne series 1. SNG Levante 81. SNG Paris 278-281. Beautifully toned. Minor roughness, otherwise, extremely fine.
