Description

THRACO-MACEDONIAN REGION. Uncertain. Circa 480-450 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 9 mm, 0.93 g). He-goat in running/kneeling position to right; above, two pellets. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. SNG ANS 66 (as 'Aegae'). Tsintsifos, p. 165, 17 and 19 (as 'Pieres in Derronike'). A charming coin, well struck and beautifully toned. Extremely fine.
