BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 400-325 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.44 g, 10 h). Head of Hera Lakinia facing slightly to right, wearing stephane ornamented with palmette and pearl necklace; to right, B. Rev. [KPO-TΩNI-ATAΣ] Youthful Herakles reclining left on a rock draped with his lion skin, holding one-handled cup in his right hand and resting his left on his club; below, bow. Attianese 138. HN Italy 2169. SNG ANS 375. Some die breaks and scratches and the reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good fine.
